California STEP Event – Expression of Interest Form

Please fill out the form below to indicate your interest in the California STEP supported event(s). We will let you know when event funding becomes available and formal applications for the below events can be submitted.

The California STEP Program is administered by the California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) International Affairs and Trade Team and is funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Grant Eligibility

• For-profit business​
• Organized or incorporated in the U.S.​
• Significant operations in California​
• Exporting goods or services of U.S. origin or that have at least 51% U.S. content​
• Meets SBA small business size standards (which vary by NAICS code)​
• Registered and in good standing with the State of California Secretary of State and other regulatory agencies​
• In business for at least one year at the time that the funded activity takes place​
• Has sufficient resources to bear the costs associated with trade, including the costs of packing, shipping, freight forwarding, and customs brokers​
